GE G1 7.0 megapixels of resolution, image stabilizer, Face detection; Various colors available
Zoom G1 down, not exciting Internal Memory
Conclusion: The Genoa GE is a new brand in the field of photography, so judgments on the quality of its cameras may not yet be issued. In the meantime we can say that according to specifications on paper, the Genoa GE G1 seems a good compact digital, high resolution, high ISO, beautiful display, rechargeable battery, stabilizer image and Face Detection. The zoom is about average, then nothing special. The internal memory is not bad but not exciting.

Design
From an aesthetic point of view, the GE G1 body has a very spartan, even if available in various colors, black, red, blue, white and silver. The front is smooth and has the only goal in the upper left and the flash. The back is occupied by two ferrules on the right side and a very large LCD display, 2.5-inch and a resolution of 153,600 pixels. The size of the camera are 92 mm wide, 62.5 mm in height and 20.9 mm thick, with a total weight of just 115 grams without battery.

Features and functions
In the scenario of digital photography is facing a new brand that challenge those already present for decades. In essence, General Electric, well known for the production of household appliances and light bulbs, has signed with the new General Imaging a contract for the production of digital cameras in quality. One of the first models, and available in Europe, probably within a year, is the Genoa GE G1, the first of this series, characterized by discrete quality and features, albeit in a rather Spartan body. The camera, announced earlier this month, has an image sensor from 7.07 megapixel well, which means high quality photography, with photos that reach a maximum of 3072×2304 pixels. As the eighth mounted, it is a goal that offers a focal length of 6,4-19,2 mm, equivalent to 38-114 mm in the traditional 35mm format, and an opening of F3.5-f4. 3. The GE G1 also has an optical zoom with the ability to zoom 3, and then more or less in the media, and a 4.8 x digital zoom, therefore, combined together, offer the possibility to enlarge the subject of 14.4 times. As for functionality, the first to highlight is certainly the image stabilizer, which helps reduce the risk of photos moves, caused by movements of the camera or subject. Another interesting feature is the Face Detection, ie a system that recognizes the faces within the frame and optimizes the exposure on the basis of the same faces. In this way, there will portraits always perfect even in group photos. By also highlight the high values of sensitivity, ranging from 64 to 3200 ISO, which allows you to take beautiful photos even in low light. Other features include a macro that allows you to get closer to 5 cm from the subject, different methods of flash, which include reducing red-eye, a shutter speed of 4-1/2000 seconds. Among other things, to come in against the various photographic needs, the Genoa GE G1 has several scene modes including sport, children, animals, portrait, landscape, party, beach, snow, fireworks and many others, so that sector neophytes can always take perfect pictures. Finally, the camera can also record video with a maximum resolution of 640×480 pixels and up to 30 frames per second. How to save photos and videos, G1 includes a memory of 26 MB, expandable via memory cards or Secure Digital SDHC. The supply is via a rechargeable lithium battery of 750 mAh. The package includes the charger, USB cable and the cable A / V for connecting to your computer and your TV, a wrist strap, CD-ROM with programs for managing photos and manuals.
